On September 17, 1787, the Constitution of the United States of America was signed – the first of any document of its kind in the history of the World. Its creators – the men who put pen to paper – were students of the history of the governments of the preceding civilizations of the world. And they had lived through the government and rule of Great Britain prior to coming to the New World, enduring harsh hardships, and eventually fighting a War of Independence, requiring the pledge of all that they had in faith, material possessions, and perseverance, to come to the point now of composing the document that would serve as the law of the newly created United States of America.
WE THE PEOPLE will come together to celebrate the Signing of the Constitution of the United States of America, to remember the sacrifice of our Founding Fathers that preceded its creation, and what we must do to preserve the Nation they entrusted to future generations.
The Constitution was finalized and ratified after a BILL OF RIGHTS was added to it consisting of the first 10 Amendments – statements of the Unalienable Rights of WE THE PEOPLE.
